The late Mestre Manuel Cabanas is/was one of the most famous personalities (artist) of the City of Vila Real de Santo Antonio (VRSA).
Until the year 2007 and 2010 the portrait was permanently exhibited in the Mayor's Conference Room of the old City Hall of VRSA and since 2010 is in the Mayor's Conference Room of the new built City Hall of VRSA.

Since 2006 Senhor Joao Martins is the owner of BB´s painting. He founded the only in this kind in Portugal existing Social and Cultural Center of Almancil, the “ASCA”, which was constructed and substituted by private contributions.
Today there are treated and helped hundreds of old, weak , often social needy persons. For this purpose at 15/04/2011 was inaugurated the new constructed "Lar de Idosos de Almancil" ( Nursing Home of Almancil) of ASCA. Almancil is one of the most richest towns in the Algarve - with its world famous luxury urbanisations “Quinta do Lago” and “Vale do Lobo” -
