BERTA BERTRAM

Being born in Germany in 1945 the artist Berta Bertram, named “BB”, was brought up in Munich (Germany).
There she attended the College - Gymnasium - and then the Business College - Handelsschule - which were ended by a diploma.

In April 2009 she was awarded with the Diploma for Art and Culture for Significant Persons (Diploma de Mérito - Gente Insigne - Arte e Cultura) by the town of Almancil, Algarve, Portugal.

Until 1981 BB permanently lived in Munich and since 1981
among others in Munich, Berlin, Germany, Florida, U.S.A.,
Antwerp, Belgium and Tirol, Austria and Algarve, Portugal.

Since 1993 she is exclusively devoted to painting and drawing
and could realize great success in her exhibitions in different
cities as Zurich, Switzerland, Almancil, Lagos, Vila Real de Santo António, Loulé, Algarve and
Lisbon, Portugal, Chatillon sur Indre, France, Forchheim, Berlin, Leipzig and Munich, Germany, New York, U.S.A., Shanghai and Peking, China.

She also could reach good reputation as international artist in an auction in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA - please see under "Collections". In these umder "Collections" listed institutions her works are permanently exhibited to the public.

At the moment she is working at an honourable order (painting) for the "Associaçao dos Portugueses no Estrangeiro", Lisbon, Portugal, for the future museum "Museu da Emigraçao e das Comunidades" (Museum of Immigration and Communities), Lisbon, and the "Governo Civil" (Civilian Government), Faro, Capital of Algarve.
